Nafissatou makes one of kind African inspired clothing. Frustrated with the limited selection clothing stores offered she began her journey as a self-taught seamstress through experimenting with her sew machine to turn her shape into a dress. As a seamstress she stresses “there is no such thing as a size only the shape of person”. There is something beautiful about every person, she makes soulful garments that speak to the unique shape of a person’s body and personality.  As an Afro-seamstress her designs are a confluence of Haitian and African cultural heritage creating a unique style. She has experienced many cultures in her travels producing pieces that utilize fabrics and incorporates their fashions into her creation, while leaving a piece of her heart and mind in over 5 continents. The drums of Africa speaks to her soul and inspires her creativity through music. She is deeply connected to African fabric, music, and bodies. She is a seamstress guided by the arms of musical instruments, melodies and poetry.
